In this project, I started by meditating upon the food culture between the east and the west as well as the past and the modern. The design of this dining setup revolved around the idea of communion. Each one is given a long spoon and is only allowed to hold the end of the spoon, which creates difficulty in feeding oneself. Therefore, the most efficient way of eating, ironically, is to feed each other. By highlighting the absurdity of the furniture, It creates a scenario where food is to be shared in a ritualistic way, and one's hunger is to be fulfilled by the person across from them.
